Summer Chan Workshop for Young People
 

Awaken. Transform. Engage. Join us for a transformative experience that empowers you to live with greater intention, awareness and compassion. The program will guide you through a series of experiential lessons where each insight is deeply integrated into your daily life, taking you beyond conceptual “knowing” into a profound shift in how you perceive yourself and your world.

The meditation sessions are great for those just starting out with meditation, but if you already have some experience, it can also deepen your practice. It will be held in the Dharma Drum Retreat Center in beautiful upstate New York, a calm and peaceful place ideal for relaxation and meditation practice.

This workshop is free for students, and others may apply for scholarships. Free shuttle transportation will be provided from Newark International Airport and Manhattan. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity that you don’t want to miss. Please register now! The workshop schedule:

  
【Day 1】 7:00 pm, Check-In, followed by a dinner break, and then a short orientation.

【Day 2-3】 Morning: Intro to Chan Meditation.
Afternoon: Workshop: Awaken. Transform and Engage (through games, activities and discussion)
Evening: Reflection, Group Sharing and Play.

【Day 4-6】 Chan Meditation Practice. (Sitting, walking, hiking, Yoga exercise.)
Evening: Dharma talk by monastics, Q&A. On the Day 6 evening : Farewell dinner and Candle Lighting Ceremony. Check-out at 10 am next day
